The alpinist-filmaker Yannick Boissenot and mountain guide Julien “Pica” Herry, skier and snowboarder respectively, have unearthed a hidden itinerary on the aiguille du Peigne. To access the Beuf-Sara gully, they had to climb the first two pitches of rock with crampons on their feet and planks on their backs. Hellish determination to open a new line in the Chamonix aiguilles, thus confirming the description of steep slope made by Anselme Baud, Chamonix guide and great skier of the 70s-80s : “ski anywhere where the snow holds”.
